Frequently Asked Questions

The honest answers to what people actually ask before they start. Still unsure? Start free — the first steps cost nothing.

Getting started

Do I need StartEase or the ETI assessment first?

No. LaunchEase meets you wherever you are — whether you arrive with a fully-formed plan, a half-baked idea, or results from the Entrepreneurial Type Indicator. If you have taken the ETI, LaunchEase uses your entrepreneurial type to personalize its guidance. If you haven't, you won't miss a beat — it just asks the right questions to figure out what you need.

What's a "LaunchPad"?

A LaunchPad is one business idea you're working on — its own guided intake, its own deliverables, its own website. Most people start with one. If you're juggling more than one venture, paid plans let you run several LaunchPads side by side (each stays completely separate; the AI never mixes them up).

Is it really free to start?

Yes. The free Explorer plan takes you through the first steps — discovering your entrepreneurial identity, mapping your business model, and crafting your pitch — and generates real deliverables from your answers. No credit card to begin. You only upgrade when you want more LaunchAgent conversations, more LaunchPads, or to reach the website-building step.

How long does it take?

The guided intake for each step is a focused conversation — usually a few minutes per step, not hours of form-filling. You can stop and resume any time; your answers are saved as you go, and you'll pick up right where you left off. Building the actual website (Step 5) runs in the background and emails you when it's live.

The AI

What is LaunchAgent?

LaunchAgent is your AI co-pilot — a chat partner that doesn't just give advice, it takes action. It reads your full business context, edits your live website as you talk, researches your market with real-time web search, and generates pages, copy, and features on request. Think of it as a developer, strategist, and copywriter that already knows your business. See all three engines →

Sonnet or Opus — which AI model does it use?

LaunchEase routes each task to the right Claude model automatically. Quick, structured work (like generating your next intake question) uses fast, efficient models. Your strategy deliverables and LaunchAgent conversations use Claude Sonnet by default. On the Adventurer plan and up, you also get Claude Opus — Anthropic's most capable model — which you can switch on per message for the toughest reasoning, within a monthly Opus allowance. You're always in control of when the heavy model runs.

Do the guided questions count against my message limit?

No. Answering the guided intake — the questions that build your strategy and deliverables — does not count against your monthly message limit. That limit only applies to free-form chat with LaunchAgent. So you can work through the whole framework without spending a single chat message.

Is my information private?

Your intake answers, deliverables, and LaunchPads are yours. They're used to generate your strategy and your site — not shared between users, and the AI is strictly scoped to one LaunchPad at a time so your ventures never bleed into each other.

Your website

Does it really build a working website — or just a mockup?

A real, working website. Not a wireframe, not a PDF, not a "coming soon" page. When you reach Step 5, LaunchEase builds and deploys an actual site — live on the internet, with working pages and features — generated from the strategy you've already built. The AI features, data, and any modules you need genuinely function from day one.

The first steps — and all your strategy deliverables — are free. Building the live website happens at Step 5, which is on any paid plan (from $29/mo). See plans →

What's the <code>.launchease.app</code> address?

Every site launches on a free address like your-business.launchease.app — no domain purchase, no DNS setup, no hosting bill. It's live and shareable immediately. When you're ready to go pro, you claim your own custom domain.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes. The free .launchease.app address gets you live instantly, and when you're ready you can move your site to your own custom domain. At that point your site graduates from a trial subdomain to a fully-owned business presence — and you take ownership of its credentials, which we walk you through.

What can the website actually do?

Far more than a brochure. Describe what your business needs and LaunchEase wires in the right modules from a catalog of 25+: storefronts and payments, booking, memberships, forums, blogs, events, donations, galleries, newsletters, directories, and more. Browse the catalog →

Can I change the site after it's built?

Constantly — just by chatting. LaunchAgent edits your live site as you talk: change the copy, add a section, wire in a new feature, adjust the design. No code, no redeploys, no waiting. It's your site to evolve.

Plans & limits

How do message limits work?

Each plan includes a set number of LaunchAgent chat messages per month (the guided intake doesn't count — see above). Higher plans add Opus messages and more LaunchPads:

Voyager$29/mo203

What happens if I hit my message limit?

Your work is never at risk — your LaunchPads, deliverables, and live site stay exactly as they are. You simply can't send new LaunchAgent chat messages until your monthly allowance resets or you upgrade. If you're out of Opus messages specifically, LaunchAgent quietly falls back to Sonnet so you can keep working.

Can I work on more than one business?

Yes. Each business is its own LaunchPad. The free plan includes one; paid plans include more (up to unlimited on Enterprise). Every LaunchPad is fully isolated — separate intake, separate deliverables, separate site.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes — plans are month-to-month and you can cancel whenever you like. If you cancel a paid plan, you keep access through the end of your billing period, then return to the free Explorer tier.

The VentureEase ecosystem

How does LaunchEase relate to StartEase and HireEase?

They're three stages of one journey: StartEase (learn why & what) → LaunchEase (you're here — figure out how) → HireEase (get it done). Start at any of them; your context follows you.

Do I have to use the whole ecosystem?

Not at all. LaunchEase stands on its own — plenty of founders use only LaunchEase to go from idea to launched website. The connections to StartEase and HireEase are there when you want them, never required.
