Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies LaunchEase uses and the choices you have. We keep it plain: essential cookies to make the site work, an optional analytics choice (we run no analytics today), and payment cookies set by Stripe if you subscribe. We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser so it can remember something — for example, that you are signed in, or that you have already answered the cookie banner. Some cookies are essential; others are optional and only used with your permission.

Essential cookies (always active)

These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other sites.

  • Session (PHPSESSID) — keeps you signed in while you use your account.
  • Security (CSRF) — protects forms and account actions from cross-site request forgery. On LaunchEase this rides your session cookie rather than a separate cookie.
  • Remember me (le_remember) — only if you tick "Remember me" at sign-in, keeps you signed in on this device for up to 14 days.
  • Cookie choice (cookie_consent) — remembers the preference you set on the cookie banner, so we do not ask again.

Analytics cookies (optional — off unless you allow them)

LaunchEase runs no analytics or tracking cookies today. The analytics choice on the banner reserves the setting: if we ever add first-party usage analytics to improve the app, it will load only after you opt in on the banner or in Cookie preferences, and if you choose "Essential only," none will be set. Any analytics we add will be first-party — the measurement is our own, the data stays with us, and it is never sold or shared with advertising networks. We do not use Google Analytics.

Payment cookies (Stripe, at checkout)

If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout and billing pages to process the payment securely and to help prevent fraud. These are set by Stripe, not by LaunchEase, and only when you go through checkout. See Stripe's cookie policy for details.

Your choices

  • On your first visit, the banner lets you Accept all, choose Essential only, or Customize the analytics toggle.
  • You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
  • You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings — but blocking essential cookies will stop you from signing in.
